- This calculator uses the Karachi University grading scale for BS (Bachelor of Science), MS (Master of Science), and Hons (Honours) programs at the University of Karachi.
- How is semester GPA calculated at Karachi University?
- Semester GPA is the weighted average of grade points: sum of (GPA value × credit hours) divided by total credit hours for that semester. Each course's marks are converted to a letter grade using the official percentage scale, then mapped to a GPA value (e.g. A+ and A = 4.0, A- = 3.8, B+ = 3.4, and so on).
- How is CGPA calculated?
- Use the CGPA section to enter your GPA for each completed semester. CGPA is the simple average of those semester GPAs. Maximum GPA and CGPA is 4.0 at Karachi University.
- What is the KU grading scale?
- A+ (90–100) and A (85–89) both equal 4.0 GPA. A- is 3.8 (80–84), B+ is 3.4 (75–79), B is 3.0 (71–74), B- is 2.8 (68–70), C+ is 2.4 (64–67), C is 2.0 (61–63), C- is 1.8 (57–60), D+ is 1.4 (53–56), D is 1.0 (45–52), and F is 0.0 (0–44).
